Let the Light Shine!

An amazing 2021 draws to an end with many headed to a season break. Gratitude abounds as we acknowledge the gift of life, liberty and labour! Some seek respite from nth wave and Greek alphabetical variants of a tiny virus. There is no need to whine at the darkness. As Dr John C Maxwell says, “Just turn on the light!”

Inspired proclamation of Prophet Isaiah, a Medical Doctor & Gospel Author, Dr Luke and the scholarly Apostle Paul come together to present this timely message : Jesus Christ chose to leave his regal authority and be one of us. He took on our frailties & vulnerable nature and nailed it to the Cross for a way of redemption, resurrection and ability to reign with Him as the King of Kings!

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this.” Isaiah‬ ‭9:6-7‬ ‭NASB1995

In the world of instant access and incendiary sparks there is a glory that waiting to unfold. Again as my mentor John Maxwell says, “People don’t care how much we know till they know how much we care!”

Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”‭‭ Philippians‬ ‭2:5-11‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
